Applying for Certification for the Urodynamic Technician

1．Qualification for applying for Certification for the Urodynamic Technician

The Japanese Society of Geriatric Urology requires that applicants for certification meet the following prerequisites:

  1. The applicant has professional experience in performing urinary function tests. (For details, see the Rules and Implementation By-Laws on the Certification Program for Urinary Function Technologists.)
  2. The applicant has a suitable personality and adequate insight as a co-medical technician.
  3. The applicant has the recommendation of a medical specialist from the Japanese Society of Geriatric Urology.
  4. The applicant is licensed with Japanese national qualification in nursing, public-health, midwifery, assistant nursing, or another medical skill (laboratory technician, radiologist, physical therapist, clinical technologist, etc.)
  5. The applicant must attend the workshop organized by the committee).

2．Application for Certification for the Urodynamic Technician

  1. Application form for Certification for the Urodynamic Technician
  2. Resume of professional experience in performing Urodynamic test
  3. Recommendation of a specialist from the Japanese Society of Geriatric Urology
  4. Resume
  5. Copy of Japanese national medical license in nursing, public-health, midwifery, assistant nursing, or another medical skill (laboratory technician, radiologist, physical therapist, clinical technologist, etc.)
  6. Copy of receipt of application fee (copy of bank or postal payment slip)

Submit the above documents to the secretariat at the address below:

Please remit the fee to the above account and pay the remittance charge.
Enter the name of the applicant on the payment slip.
Write "Application fee for Certification for the Urodynamic Technician" in the appropriate column of the payment slip.
Keep the original payment receipt and attach a copy to the application.

3．Examination

The examination is conducted by the Certification Committee for the Urodynamic Technician.

4．Examination result

A document examination for applicants is conducted annually by the Certification Committee for the Urodynamic Technician.
Applicant who are confirmed to satisfy the certification standards will be notified of the examination result.
